Child Safety Standards update

The draft LCA Child Safety Standards for Congregations were released for targeted consultations in May. Results will be analysed and submitted to the General Church Board GCB) for consideration in October. Pending GCB approval, implementation of the standards is expected to commence in early 2022.

Child safety standards consultations to start
The LCANZ’s new congregational child safety standards will go through a consultation process in April and May. The LCA standards are designed to ensure that the church can meet its regulatory responsibilities in response to an increasingly rigorous child safety landscape.
