Ordination consultations nearing conclusion
The LCA/NZ is moving into the final two months of the ordination consultations that are being held throughout Australia and New Zealand during March to October 2017. From August to October eight consultations will be held in the Victoria/Tasmania District, beginning with the consultation at the District Pastors Conference at Warrnambool on 2 August and ending with the final consultation in Hobart on 1 October.
On 2 July a consultation with a difference was held in Alice Springs, where the draft doctrinal statement on ordination was presented to an English language group, and a simplified language statement was presented to Indigenous language groups in Arrarnta, Pitjantjatjarra and Luritja/Pintubi.
