Share a story of faith – and win
If you have a personal story of faith you’re willing to share, now’s the time. A unique competition is offering prizemoney incentives and the chance to have your story of hope, grace, forgiveness, and the impact of knowing Jesus, featured in a book, newspaper or on radio.
Sponsored by the Lutheran Schools Association, Tabor College, testimonies publisher Eternity Matters and Christian radio station Life FM, the Stories of Life competition is open to people willing to tell their own story in a creative and engaging way. All shortlisted entries will feature in a book, and could be used in newspaper columns and/or on radio. There are three categories, which each offers $1500 in prizemoney, with a first prize of $1000.
The Eternity Matters Stories of Life category is for submissions of up to 1500 words; while the Tabor College Short Stories of Life category is for pieces up to 500 words. Both has a $10 entry fee and is open to all ages. The Lutheran Schools Association Young Stories of Life calls for works of between 500 and 1000 words by writers aged 17 years and under and is free to enter. Entrants can also access practical writing tips and resources designed to help them tell their stories most effectively.
Entries opened on 1 April and close on 31 July. To enter or for more information visit their website or go to Facebook.
