Pray for the people of Ukraine
The images and news reports from Ukraine are almost beyond comprehension. Who would think that these ‘civilised’ countries could descend into such hell while claiming to ‘follow Jesus’?
Our hearts go out to the innocent Ukrainians and even the Russian people – many of whom would be deeply troubled about what their government is doing.
As many of our LCA congregations have direct links to Europe serving the Estonian, Latvian, Finnish, and German diaspora, spare a thought for these Lutheran folk as they relive some painful history and worry about developments so close to their homelands.
