Partner church visits Australia
Leaders from LCA partner church, Basel Christian Church of Malaysia (BCCM) visited Australia in March.
The five-day partnership visit was initiated by BCCM for the purpose of better getting to know Lutheran leaders in Australia and ‘showed the maturity of the relationship’ between the two churches, the LCA’s Assistant to the Bishop – International Mission Glenice Hartwich said.
The visiting group included BCCM Bishop James Wong Chong Leong and President Mr Vun Soon Chong, as well as Sabah Theological Seminary (STS) Principal Rev Dr Wilfred John Sundaraj Samuel.
The visit included meetings at the LCA churchwide offices, Australian Lutheran College and the LLL in North Adelaide, as well as a Lutheran college and congregation.
