New Face for New Zealand radio
Lutheran Media’s flagship radio program Face to Face will be heard on New Zealand’s most popular commercial stations from this month (February 2016).
Face to Face will air in prime time on Newstalk ZB and The Hits radio stations throughout Auckland.
Lutheran Media director Pastor Richard Fox said the programs would reach out to more than 250,000 people a week with the good news of Jesus Christ and his message of hope.
Invited by Bishop Mark Whitfield and the Lutheran Church of New Zealand (LCNZ), Pastor Richard visited the district early last year to meet with commercial and Christian media outlets, along with church leaders and the people of Mountainside Lutheran Church, Auckland. As a result, New Zealand media company NZME will broadcast Face to Face on its commercial radio stations.
Pastor Fox said Lutheran Media was continuing to work with LCNZ and the Mountainside Lutheran Church ‘to reach out through radio to people in need of real hope’.
‘Bishop Mark Whitfield, Pastor Joe Kummerow, and the faithful people of New Zealand are excited to reach out to so many people with the gospel’, he said. ‘Please pray for this exciting outreach opportunity and the people of New Zealand that they may hear and believe in Jesus Christ.’
Thanks to the support of Lutheran Media’s donors and the LCNZ, between 40 and 100 radio messages will be played each month during breakfast and drive shows and at other popular listening times.
Lutheran Media’s outreach booklets will be offered during the radio programs, and listeners will be invited to read them online. Mountainside Lutheran Church will also distribute printed booklets, along with information about the Lutheran church.
The booklets are available at the new website for Face to Face in New Zealand where people also can join discussion on the topics from the radio messages.
Newstalk ZB and The Hits are also streamed on the internet, so the Face to Face New Zealand outreach messages can be heard online.
