Get set for art showcase first
The LCA/NZ’s Visual Arts Working Group is organising the first churchwide simultaneous art exhibition to be held across Australia and New Zealand this year, with the theme, ‘Living Water’.
Artists of all ages, skill levels and across all media are invited to participate in exhibitions in their local communities in August.
If you are interested in taking part, you are encouraged to connect with other artists in your church community, school or aged-care facility to explore the theme and unleash your creativity.
Exhibitions can be held anywhere – in your school hall, your church, the local coffee shop – wherever you can share your work and the living water of Christ’s gospel.
If you are in South Australia, you may like to register your exhibition with the South Australian Living Artists Festival (www.salafestival.com).
The Visual Arts Working Group, which is part of the LCA/NZ’s Commission on Worship, has prepared a resource pack for those wanting to be involved. As the project gets underway, we will support participating individuals and groups with advice on how to set up an exhibition, as well as promotional material and publicity through the LCA website’s Spread the Word bulletin notices and social media networks.
