A message of hope
from the departments and agencies of the Lutheran Church of Australia
At General Convention of Synod we experienced the joy of being one body in Christ: in our worship, our dialogue, our decision-making, and in the compassion and grace that we shared with each other. We also saw sadness and pain.
Through all the seasons of our church’s life, we can see that God is doing wonderful things.
We see Christ’s love expressed in many ways. We see a church which, together through its many parts, shares the gospel here and afar, cares for the elderly, empowers the poor, forms our servants, values our first nations, nourishes children, welcomes strangers, cherishes our past, prepares for the future, looks after its people, nurtures families, encourages young people, and shares messages of hope in text and across the airwaves. Truly, this is a church where love comes to life!
We pray that you will continue to share in God’s grace with us, as together we bring his love to life – in our families, congregations, schools, communities and the world.
